The Power of Space

This last year has truly been one for the books and in finally breaking my silence to share what has been going on behind the scenes here at my home (as shared in my https://the-shifting-grounds.com/truth-or-deer/ article), I have been inspired to go into depth to write stories from my own personal vault of experiences as well as illuminate the packages and offerings that were inspired to be created from all that I navigated and endured.

I learned how valuable space is. When life is coming at you fast and hard, it can be easy to get swallowed in the riptides and devoured by the emotions that keep things in what can feel like a death spiral. Space affords distance and can give precious perspective and time to connect in with what is yours versus someone else’s shit. As I worked to create space for myself so I could navigate what was happening in and around me, I also was reminded how I needed to actively stay open to other support lines that could breathe life and hope into me.

Humor became one of the most treasured transmuters of negative and toxic anger and frustration. I noticed that as I worked to find the hilarious extremes, it also served as a powerful delivery vehicle for truth. Being able to express myself in a way that was beyond the crushing emotions gave me a way to let go while also facing what I needed to endure. As the pressure intensified, I noticed that my humor gave rise to a wild creativity that I had not had been immersed in since I was a child. The world all of a sudden became a playground and everything within served as an opportunity to explore and discover something new about myself and the challenges I was facing.

This gave rise to one of the lessons that was included in my first ever online e-learning course that debuted earlier this year called, Becoming the Writer of Your Life. Here, I shared how to create a playground of possibility to change your story and build skills to ultimately change your life.
